To celebrate its 125th anniversary, Hormel Foods Corporation is opening a new Spam Museum in Austin, Minnesota. While the savory canned meat has been the subject of much ridicule over the years, the food item has remained popular among consumers for its entire 79-year history. Now consumers will be able to learn more about Spam at a museum dedicated to the product.
The 14,000 square foot museum will house various interactive galleries and installations taken from the previous location. The Spam Museum will also include new exhibits showcasing the product's international popularity, its history with the military and the state of the brand today.
Designed as a fun and interactive way to honor the famous food product, the museum is a perfect attraction for Spam lovers.
