Cunard Plans to Revitalize Its Queen Victoria Cruise Ship

Cunard is returning its 'Queen Victoria' ship to Southampton for the winter with a drydock refresh that adds the Pavilion Wellness Café, updates Cunard Grill suites, and creates eight additional Britannia staterooms. Before the roundtrip program begins, the ship is sailing back from Civitavecchia after a summer in the Mediterranean.

The 19-day yard stay in the Netherlands also includes reworking the public rooms, including the Grand Lobby and the Queen's Room, giving passengers renewed social spaces alongside the added cabins. From Southampton, Queen Victoria's colder-season schedule covers Northern Europe and Morocco, including an 111-night world cruise departing in early January, Cunard's longest winter itinerary.

An 111-night world voyage paired with a Southampton season turns Queen Victoria into Cunard's long-haul winter ship and offers a shorter roundtrip option. The added Britannia rooms and suite upgrades broaden the ship's appeal across fare tiers while keeping Southampton at the center of Cunard's winter lineup.
