Digital Tarot Cards will Appear in the South by Southwest App

The TV network Showtime is lending a hand to South by Southwest attendees. They are putting digital tarot cards in the hands of those who attend the event. The cards will appear in the South by Southwest app, which will help people choose the hottest events, parties, bars and restaurants in the Austin area.

South by Southwest will be taking part in March and it is going to have thousands of people scavenging the city to try new things. People can pick three tarot cards and they will give them a reading of the top trending activities based on real-time data, which will be pulled from the South by Southwest schedule, Foursquare and Twitter.

Users will be able to tap the banner ad and access the tarot cards, then they need to pick three cards that will give them a reading on where to go next. The results can include everything from hot spots, timely sessions, themes and even hot topics.
