The newest addition to Sonoma Cider's core collection is The Washboard, which fuses the flavors of organic apple juice with exotic Indian sarsaparilla and vanilla. This unusual flavor combination results in a taste that can be likened to root beer.

Others in the lineup include other cider types that are enriched with the taste of pear, apple and bourbon. While these ingredients are featured on the fronts of the bottles, each alcoholic cider is named after a tool like a hatchet, anvil or pitchfork. With each flavor, Sonoma Cider explores the "virtues" of the apple, such as crispness, creaminess, richness and earthiness.

While these experimental cider flavors were only initially offered as a limited run, the success of the launch led them to become part of Sonoma Cider's permanent lineup.
