Tartan is a fabric most of us tend to steer clear of -- or be cautious of, anyway -- but at the Sonia Rykiel Fall 2011 show, there was no such thing as too much plaid. Mixed with colourful furry stoles and war-era fashion styles, it was a daring collection that mixed old-school conservatism with modern daring.
The gallery shows a few highlights from the Sonia Rykiel Fall 2011 collection, which range from skirt suits in burlesque red to stripes in shades that haven't been combined in mainstream fashion since the 1970s. Also in the collection are pieces with nordic prints, a look that continues to come back for the cooler seasons. As tacky as it it is, it's a cozy look, and a seasonable way to add some colour to your wardrobe.
