Engineered to stay in your garden year-round or for the entire season, the 'Tertill' solar-powered robot helps to keep a garden free of weeds. The 'Tertill' works by roving around a garden area, detecting weeds and driving over to them in order to remove them.
Currently in the prototype stage, the 'Tertill' is the design work of Franklin Robotics, which is run by Joe Jones who is the co-creator of the original Roomba robot. Thanks to the solar panel that's built-in to the 'Tertill,' the robot is capable of operating autonomously, requiring no attention or maintenance except when it's time to change the trimmer blades.
