Smurfit Kappa and Mindful Chef, a UK recipe box company, are working together to reduce the company's carbon footprint.
After a huge increase in demand for its home-delivered recipe kits throughout the pandemic, Mindful Chef committed to being climate neutral. It aims to make every aspect of its business as sustainable as possible with recipe boxes that customers can easily recycle. Smurfit Kappa's Experience Centre came up with a 100% recyclable packaging solution to help Mindful Chef in its endeavors.
The new packaging replaces the previous recipe box, which consisted of insulated pouches of gel ice packs. Now, the solution encompasses corrugated cardboard insulation packs. The corrugated cardboard has a 30% lower carbon footprint than the previous model.
