The Smule App Lets Users Sing Along With Musical Megastars

The Smule app -- first launched as Sing Karaoke -- is separating itself from the hordes of other music streaming apps by placing a focus on gamifying lip syncing. The app essentially functions as a tool for pantomime and allows users to record a video of themselves signing solo or alongside other users' videos. To help keep users in time with their preferred song, the Smule app offers lyrics and tackers to ensure the video comes out perfect.
The focus on user experience has driven the Smule app to form partnerships with megastar artists, which allows users to feel closer to their favorite singer. This feature allows for duets to be recorded alongside the original singer and even includes representations of fictional characters. Thanks to a partnership with Disney, the Smule app lets users sing alongside Maui from Moana or Ernesto de la Cruz from Pixar's Coco.
