Desert and Bedouin culture themes are proving to be a big inspiration for the 2009 fashion ad campaigns and editorials.

The latest to take inspiration from the desert is the Spring-Summer 2009 ad campaign for SMOG by New Yorker fashion label.

The campaign, 'Sons of The Desert,' features a group of models taking a safari trip in a Jeep car through the Arabian desert.

Implications - Donning all-black ensembles, the models rock stereotypical desert outfits so that like they might belong in the Arabian desert. The Sons of The Desert shoot also highlights the desert background with its sandy landscape and clear blue skies. The SMOG Spring-Summer 2009 campaign easily turns up the heat with the male models and their undone shirts.
