Samsung unveils a look at the SmartTag 2, which is a tracking device that follows behind the first SmartTag that launched in 2021. It is set to hit the markets officially on October 11th and will cost $30. The original had Bluetooth and an ultra-wideband variant but the latest version has both in a single model.
Notably, the tag is only compatible with Samsung smartphones. The new model has a visual of a ring-shaped structure complete with a metal along the inside of the ring to aid durability rather than the usual punch-hole. It is easily able to attach only bags and luggage or simply connected to clips or key rings. Additionally, it also has dust and water resistance to track pets outside.
