The 'SmartSlab' table is bringing social interaction to the kitchen in a way that most other electronics cannot. Created by designers from 'SapienStone,' the connected furniture piece is crafted from a new material from the Iris Ceramica Group. The product is a thin and futuristic addition to any modern kitchen and functions as both a cooking surface and a kitchen table that keeps plates warm and drinks cold.
The SmartSlab table's features allow for the cook to socialize with guests rather than having to hide away in a kitchen. With the warming areas reaching 42 degrees Celsius and the cooling areas reaching minus 5 degrees Celsius, the sections reserved for warming and cooling food are safe to touch.
The SmartSlab table measures 3 by 1.5 meters in size and is only 6 millimeters thick, making it customizable to include charging modules, touch-control panels and Wi-Fi stations.
