Chevrolet has announced that it will be installing smartphone cooling devices in several of its new cars. During hot summer days, keeping your phone cool can be quite a challenge. Chevrolet has developed a solution to the problem of overheating by designing a smartphone-specific air conditioner.
Beginning with its 2016 models, Chevrolet will install a specific air conditioning vent that will direct cool air onto your smartphone. The cooling device will only work when the AC is on, but it will help to prevent your phone from overheating while it is charging. The new feature will be available in 2016 versions of the Malibu, Volt, Cruze and Impala.
While many cars now come equipped with earphone charging stations, leaving your phone to charge can cause it to reach dangerous temperatures. Chevrolet's new cooling station keeps your gadget at a safe temperature so you never have to worry about your device accidentally overheating.
