Students at the University of Waterloo teamed up to invent a smart trackable luggage that ensures you will always have your belongings with you no matter where you go.
The team has built an “integrated sensor package” in the suitcase which only takes up less than five percent of the luggage space and tracks your luggage if it ever gets lost. The luggage also features four “weight feet” that will instantly alert travelers ahead of time if their luggage surpasses the required weight capacity before entering the airline and haven’t extra costs.
The built-in sensor package is connected to an app that is available for smartphones and gives you direct information on the location of your luggage, as well as if it has been opened or tampered with in any such way. This smart luggage is to be considered by any avid traveler looking to keep all of their belongings -- I mean, who wouldn’t?
