The Range OI Connects Old Ovens To Your Smartphone or Smartwatch

This smart thermometer connects your smartphone to old grills. The Range OI is ideal if you do not plan on replacing your existing barbecue anytime soon, as it turns any cooker into a smart one. From Super Mechanical, the Range OI is currently seeking finances via crowdfunding platform via a Kickstarter campaign.

The system enabling this smart thermometer consists of a bluetooth enabled thermometer that is compatible with any oven and an app for smartphones or smartwatches. The thermometer sits in a dock that is able to tell whether the oven is on or off, or even pre-heating or cooling down. The app can also send you notifications about your cooker's temperature. Without the dock, the thermometer functions like the original Range line, which accurately determines food temperature.
