Oxford University's new smart glasses are said to improve the sight of those who suffer from impaired vision, This augmented reality invention relies on a depth-based system and instantly enhances the sight of its users.
Allowing one to see better, these smart glasses create a cartoon-like image that though simple, improves one's vision drastically. The spectacles feature monochromatic projections that give those with impaired sight a better idea of what is in front, behind and all around them.
This depth-based invention uses 3d cameras to augment vision and to detect the positioning of objects that are near users. The spectacles can even be used to improve the vision of those who are registered blind and include obstacle avoiding features.
