Later this year, Neutrogena will be launching a powerful duo—the Neutrogena Skin360 app and SkinScanner—that works with one's smartphone for smart skin analysis.
The SkinScanner tool is an iPhone attachment that boasts 12 LED lights and a 30x magnification lens to capture a detailed close-up image of one's skin. As Neutrogena notes, this tool is useful for capturing "the size and appearance of pores, the size and depth of fine lines and wrinkles and determines skin’s moisture levels." With this data, the Skin360 app delivers a "skin score," which can be tracked and improved over time. The system also offers personalized product recommendations so that consumers may get a better understanding of the right products for them, while the gamified scoring system illustrates their efficacy.
