Sundance Mountain Resort is expanding winter access with 2026/2027 season passes and S-Cards that let skiers and riders buy into different ways to use the mountain. The lineup spans unlimited, VIP, corporate, midweek and night skiing, plus a discounted lift-ticket option for guests who do not want a full pass.
The bigger draw is the resort’s move to more than 600 skiable acres, including over 60 acres of newly accessible terrain. A new high-speed quad called Electric Horseman reaches the back mountain in about six minutes, while Storyteller adds a 1.7-mile ridge run and access to three expert gladed chutes.
For shoppers, this means pass buying can match how often they ski, when they go and how much terrain they want to cover. It also nudges ski resorts toward packaging access, shortcuts and perks as one year-round purchase instead of a single lift ticket.

What's Driving This Trend
- Tiered Mountain Access
- Flexible pass structures segment skiers by frequency, timing and perk preferences, creating room for resorts to monetize access beyond traditional lift tickets.
- Terrain-led Upselling
- New lifts, expanded acreage and expert zones become premium value signals that support higher-yield pass bundles and differentiated guest experiences.
- Corporate Ski Memberships
- Workplace-oriented access products position ski resorts as leisure-benefit partners, blending employee rewards, client entertainment and recurring seasonal revenue.
Who This Affects Most
- Ski Resorts
- Resorts are evolving into access-platform businesses where terrain, timing and hospitality privileges are packaged into diversified subscription-style products.
- Outdoor Recreation
- Seasonal participation models are shifting toward customizable commitments that reduce single-visit friction while encouraging repeat engagement across activity categories.
- Travel and Tourism
- Destination operators can benefit from bundled access passes that link accommodations, transportation and experiences into more predictable pre-paid travel spending.
