The winds of change are blowing eastward and the Republic of Singapore Yacht Club will undergo a complete nine million dollar overhaul by the year's end. It is unclear who the architects and designers will be, but from these renderings one may gather what a tremendous task the project will be, promising to double the center's facilities inside and out.
The RSYC is the oldest yachting club in Asia, so it's no surprise that it should choose to renew its ascendancy over its fellow sailing societies. The Republic of Singapore Yacht Club will soon be fit to accommodate the storage of three hundred individual boats on land, with new docks and berths for hundreds more offshore. The interior of the building will comprise of many new dining and social spaces, as well as a gym and 60 guest rooms for visiting members.
