You knew this was bound to happen! With the growing obsession of virtual worlds and online dating, it's no surprise that people are beginning to say their vows on the web.
Don't you wish you could invite everyone to your wedding? Having friends and family overseas be unable to attend your special day can really put a damper on the most romantic day of your life.
For some couples, it just isn't enough to exchange "I do's" in the real world -- all their virtual pals would be missing out. Some pioneering couples are making sure their wedding attendees aren't restricted to those who can make it to the actual wedding -- they're getting their avatars to express their undying love for all the world to see as well.
This year's Fan Faire in Las Vegas will be host to "the first-ever live and virtual wedding ceremony for two attendees who are avid players of the top-selling SOE title EverQuest II. During this unprecedented ceremony, the couple will simultaneously exchange live and virtual vows through their EverQuest II avatars at computers perched on the altar."
