My inner handyman just about had a heart attack when I saw the SILK Tape Measure. SILK is an electronic tape measure that replaces the sheet metal with steel wire, and adds a digital display.
DIY projects would be infinitely easier with the SILK Tape Measure, since precise measurements often make all the difference when it comes to home improvement projects. Designers Liao Yuelong, Li Hongbing & Guo Yang recently won a Red Dot Award for their updated tape measure design. Hopefully, they use that as motivation to get this tape measure into my toolbox sooner rather then later.
