The Telegram Messaging App Has Added Silent Messages to the Platform

Telegram, the chat app, was recently updated has added a silent messages feature. The app's silent messages function will send text and media without creating a sound notification. Telegram's sound functions will operate independently from the user's phone settings, so a phone with a ringer enabled will not produce a sound through silent messaging.

Other new features to the Telegram platform include a slow mode being added to group chats. This setting slowly rolls out notifications so users are not overwhelmed with notifications form a group chat. Those two new additions to the platform make it so users can toggle settings on the app to make it as non-interfering as possible. This would allow users the ability to message others while being able to make sure it does not become a cumbersome experience.
