While the United States has 'Black Friday,' China has a shopping holiday created by the e-commerce giant Alibaba -- Singles' Day. The day historically celebrates everyone who is single, encouraging them to buy themselves gifts like a Valentine's Day for single people.

Kevin Spacey's 'House of Cards' character joined in on the madness, addressing China's citizens as 'Frank Underwood' -- the "President of the United States." The ad spot featured many comical lines and references to the television show like, "whenever I go shopping I have to dress up so I'm not recognized."

Though it is an unlikely pairing, the spot is extremely entertaining and showcases Alibaba's own sense of humor as it teases about its very own brand-created shopping holiday.
