The disastrous effects of these elemental dangers are often forgotten and this LA photographer looks to shed light on this issue with a series of wildfire photography.
Stuart Palley looks to document the beauty of California, but also has the intention to spread awareness of the droughts and wildfires that are destroying California's forests, mountains and fields. The series is titled 'Terra Flamma' and looks to bring not only eyes, but public consciousness to the wreckage that is tearing through the beautiful landscapes.
The series takes the camera and uses long exposures to get the wide shot, capturing the full, immersive flames that spread, creating the inferno. While reporting the disaster, the series of wildfire photography also demonstrates the duality that is captured in the beauty and destruction caused by the flames.
