Heritage Dial Watches

Seiko Presage Craftsmanship Honors the 1913 Laurel Wristwatch

The Seiko Presage Craftsmanship series introduces two automatic watches inspired by the 1913 Laurel, Japan's first wristwatch, through traditional enamel and Urushi lacquer dial techniques. One model features a hand-applied white enamel dial beneath a dual-curved sapphire crystal, while the other pairs a deep black Urushi lacquer dial with a gold-toned case. Both retain vintage-inspired Arabic numerals, a subdial at 6 o'clock and the Laurel's distinctive red 12 o'clock marker. Leather Working Group-certified black leather straps complete the heritage-focused designs.

Both of the watches are powered by Seiko's in-house Calibre 6R5H automatic movement, delivering an accuracy of +25/-15 seconds per day and a power reserve of approximately three days. Traditional Japanese decorative craftsmanship is combined with contemporary mechanical watchmaking through the hand-finished dials and modern movement.
