Striking Sculptural Building Developments

OMA's Manhattan Building Features a Design-Driven Corner

The sculptural building can contribute to the design-forward aesthetic of the city, making the urban environment a more enjoyable space for everyone. Located in the ever-evolving Manhattan neighborhood in New York City, the new structural development by architectural studio OMA is definitely captivating in its appearance.

The firm curates a glazed, black-lined apartment block and the defining feature of the silhouette is its "prismatic corner." Boasting a composition of triangular windows, this unconventional approach subtly propels the sculptural building into the more experimental category of contemporary architecture. When facilitating the dominant aesthetic of the experimentally driven apartment block, OMA was careful in "paying homeage to neighboring pre-war structures." As a result, the architectural development is able to "communicate both history and modernity."
