What I love about this scroll shelf is that it endeavors to solve a common problem with an unexpected twist. Conventional storage systems include products like bookcases and generally straight-edged shelving with limited customization for holding irregular-shaped items. What Johanna Paulsson has produced is a whimsical alternative to a basic, boxy cubby, literally thinking outside of the box.
A beautiful piece of pale molded wood is designed to be wall-mounted, with a larger version able to set up as a freestanding unit. The user can choose to face the scroll shelf towards or away from the wall, enabling her to customize the installation of clothes hooks and the way that the sculptural shelves creatively occupy space. Once fixed in place, the Små Ting cabinet is perfect for stashing clothing, mail, devices and more, to supplement storage in your bedroom, bathroom or front foyer.
