Connected Watercraft Navigation Systems

Savvy Navvy Will Bring Android Auto and CarPlay to Boaters

Marine navigation app Savvy Navvy has announced a partnership with Crest and Balise Pontoons that will bring Android Auto and CarPlay to the brands' vessels starting next month. The partnership will see compatibility coming standard on all new models from Crest and Balise Pontoons, and will allow boaters to sync to the Savvy Navvy app right from the helm. This will offer access to nautical charts, active GPS tracking, tidal data, live weather forecasts and smart routing. The navigation screen will be observed on the same screen as other Android Auto and CarPlay apps with options between day, night and satellite views offered for boaters to select from.

Savvy Navvy CEO Jelte Liebrand commented on the partnership saying, "Boaters have been asking for a modern infotainment system for years. Plan your trip on the couch, step aboard, and it is already at the helm. No complicated ways to synchronise things; it just works."
