This Savory Appetizer Re-Imagines a Salty, Open-Faced Version of S'mores

This savory appetizer is in fact a new spin on an open-faced s'more. Created by Jessica of the food blog How Sweet It Is, the salty s'mores are made with homemade pistachio marshmallows.
Instead of using a graham cracker, this recipe calls for a regular cracker, such as pita chips. The miniature sandwich also consists of melted havarti cheese, a tangy sun dried pepper, a sweet and salty marshmallow and a balsamic glaze drizzle. The bites can hardly be called a s'more, but are really more of a marshmallow-based snack.
If you want to attempt the savory appetizer at home, you will need ingredients like roasted pistachios, powdered sugar and gelatin just for the marshmallows.
