Dating in 2020 looks a lot different than years prior, as spontaneous meetings are much less likely to occur and many people are going online for safe socialization. When popular social venues reopen, there will also be also different experiences around entering someone else's personal space. One bar in New York City is responding to changing times with a new social distance friendly platform called ApproachNow that helps patrons navigate the new normal of inviting someone into their personal circle.
Through the platform, all users on the premises will be able to communicate with one another via a public forum and will be encouraged to meet and mingle while observing socially responsible distances. 230 Fifth Rooftop Bar sees ApproachNow as an opportunity to offer a "virtual approach to the always nerve-racking first interaction."
