Halloween celebrations will look different this year and Nextdoor is adjusting its annual Treat Map accordingly. The 2020 version of the map is designed to help people enjoy celebrations safely thanks to new features and experiences created in partnership with Party City.
The new and improved Treat Map lets families add their home and share the low-risk festivities they are planning, so that others can join in a socially distanced way or take in the sights from afar. On the Treat Map, users will answer "How are you celebrating Halloween?" by choosing options related to decor, creative pumpkin projects or costume parades.
With Party City, the app now includes an AR experience that helps Halloween lovers welcome Virtual Visitors to their homes, and throughout the season, new characters will be released.
