Satish Jassal Architects Designed the Rowan Court in Seven Sisters

London design firm Satish Jassal Architects has completed the build of the Rowan Court, which is a range of social housing blocks in Seven Sister. All of the buildings have a red brick cladding and it aims to retain the existing 1970s estate. The project was commissioned by the Haringey Council to create 46 apartments. The intervention was to create a diverse housing type at the location to accommodate various needs.
The founder of the studio Satish Jassal explained the process, stating "The core concept revolves around repairing the frayed edges of the urban fabric. This involves enhancing the public space and developing sustainable and inclusive housing for the community. The most significant gesture is the creation of a new public square and mews street, which transforms a neglected, unsafe area into a gentle, secure, and community-oriented space for all residents, both new and existing."
