Mikael Nelderup, a Sweden-based outdoor gear innovator, has taken it upon himself to go about not only upgrading but well and truly revolutionizing one of the most critical and ubiquitous bits of automotive-driven outdoor exploration in the form of the rooftop cargo rack, creating a product that is designed to be easily unfurled and rolled out of view depending on the situation.
The 'Twistboxes' are essentially rooftop cargo racks that are built around a steel base that works in conjunction with a padded and coated nylon body that is waterproof, ultraviolet-resistant and features 520 liters of cargo. When activated, this rooftop cargo rack can be used like a conventional hard-body rooftop storage solution. However, what's great about the 'Twistbox' is that it can literally be rolled up into a cylinder shape and stashed away when not in use, which represents a massive upgrade over the way that conventional rooftop racks have to be dealt with.
