Ronin Wood is an artist whose muses are elephants and Mountain Dew. Often using photography as a starting point, Ronin Wood then draws elaborate figures, often of elephants over the faces to create new images.
Occasionally photos will appear unaltered, but more often than not Ronin Wood alters an entire image to create a surreal juxtaposition of colours, textures and lines allowing for just enough realism in the works that it remains accessible and realistic.
