Jan Černý introduces the new ROMANTIC ERA 2021+ collection for the Spring/Summer 2021 season that is designed with inspiration drawn from lockdown creativity. The Czech designer marks a milestone as the upcoming capsule marks the largest one to date.
He talks about the capsule “2020 is the beginning of a new romantic era for me. I see it as reliving the history. In [the] nineteenth-century, midst classicism — under the domination of reason and education — suddenly arrives romanticism." The capsule is made up of many standout designs ready to welcome the warmer seasons ahead of us. Some of which include the bleached black trench coat that looks like it has been sun-leaked in a photograph, as well as the fishing hats references Vltava banks.
