Circular Rolling Bar Carts

Mike and Maaike Create the Rolly Bar Cart with Geometric Forms

San Francisco design firm Mike and Maaike has developed the Rolly bar art with wooden and metal constructions to highlight geometric purity and playfulness. The firm started the design process by creating a furniture piece that is made u of four identical circular components on the cart.

This is notably the first rolling furniture from the four congruent shapes. The co-founder of the studio, Mike Simonian explained to Dezeen, "Other than functional bar carts, we haven't seen the rolling side table as a format in furniture design. We believe this is the first rolling object made from four equal circles. It's the geometric purity that we find so interesting about it. I’ve been obsessed with wheels and circles for a long time."
