Autonomous Need For Speed at Robotic Grand Prix
It's all about speed at the 2008 Toyota Grand Prix Of Long Beach. And we're not talking about famous race drivers. Actually we're talking about no drivers at all!
On April 20, 2008, the robotic stars of last year's DARPA Urban Grand Challenge autonomous car race are having another go at the Robotic Grand Prix.
While last year's the Urban Challenge measured each performance by both speed and driving skills, this time around the participating three teams will be judged just by how fast they can drive one lap of the 1.97-mile track. Thank God there are no humans inside!
