'The Social Shot' is an experiment that uses a robotic bartender that mines Facebook users' data, specifically their likes, to create a perfectly unique shot based on their social media personality.
To produce this custom drink, an algorithm is run through a person's Facebook profile, collecting information that corresponds to the following personality traits like agreeableness, extroversion and neuroticism. Each trait is then paired with a certain type of alcohol like vodka, Blue Curacao or basil liqueur. This medley of ingredients are used in different amounts to create the final personalized concoction.
The point of this robotic bartender experiment isn't for the shots to truly represent a personality but to show how much information can be extracted from social media data and the creative extents and niche ways said information can be used.
