While most exoskeletons are portrayed as a combination of metal and motors, Roam is dispelling this myth as it chooses to focus on the use of plastics, fabrics and air for transmission. The current system for the Roam Robotics Ski Exoskeleton is primarily built with plastic and fabric, with the exception of a backpack power pack to provide torque to the legs. The system also includes a machine learning element that will anticipate a wearer's movements and deliver extra torque to make these actions easier and more deliberate.
