Architecture studio Seear-Budd Ross is the creative mind behind the new pale pine classing and crisp meal roof on the RK Residence. It embodies a minimal look and the overall design is detailed by the timber-clad forms of the existing buildings from the location, resting by the coast and wooden hill. One volume is easier to spot and features a living room and garage -- the other is more private where the studies and bedrooms are.
Studio founder Thomas Seear-Budd speaks about the project to Dezeen, stating that "The home is split into two pavilions, living and sleeping, with a courtyard and glazed link in the middle. The front is deliberately exposed, with a visible connection to the street and the harbour, whilst the courtyard and sleeping quarters are progressively more private in expression and experience."
