Butterfinger is Changing Its Recipe for the First Time in Over 10 Years

If you're a fan of Butterfinger, you'll want to take note of its revamped candy bar recipe. According to the brand, this is the first recipe update in more than 10 years (and it's a big one).

Butterfinger is best known for its chocolate and peanut butter flavor and crispy, flaky consistency. Now the recipe is changing to take that "one-of-a-kind crispety, crunchety, peanut buttery experience" up a notch. To start, the packaging will be higher quality and double layered "to lock in the Butterfinger flavor consumers love." As for the revamped candy bar recipe, the new version will have more milk and cocoa to give the chocolate a richer, creamier taste. Some ingredients such as TBHQ and hyrdogenated oils have been removed from the recipe to correspond to consumers' changing taste and texture preferences.
