Google Maps Will Now Show Users Popular Restaurant Dishes

Google Maps recently integrated Lens technology into the platform, which will high light the most popular restaurant dishes. The technology was initially revealed at Google's I/O 2019 conference, where users could use Lens to scan a restaurant menu to see popular items. Following that, the scannable restaurant dishes feature is being adopted into Google Maps.

The feature can be accessed by searching for food establishments in Google Maps, where users can see a menu as well as photos of the location. Users can then select 'explore dishes' to see the most popular items.

Allowing users to see popular dishes on Google Maps shows that the company is committed to integrating its own features into the various platforms it manages.
