The Rest and Concentration in the Workplace collection focuses on bringing a zen-like vibe to office spaces to foster a productive environment devoid of stress. Although stress is a natural part of any office, this furniture collection strives to minimize it to promote health and focus.
Designed by sixteen students from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in collaboration with Herman Miller, the Rest and Concentration in the Workplace collection also emphasizes community and teamwork. Each piece attempts to find balance between group interaction and personal space in the modern workspace setting. For instance, the Alcove Chair by Mike Haley is a large seat with a high shell backrest that provides privacy as well as supporting various casual positions that can accommodate another person.
