'Reel It In' is a Card Game for Kids Based on McDonald’s Filet-O-Fish

In an effort to provide kids with more than just Happy Meals, McDonald's has created an educational card game called 'Reel It In' based on its famous Filet-O-Fish. Not only does the game teach kids about what goes into the iconic fish sandwich, but it also provides them with a broader lesson on environmental sustainability.

Reel It In is a card game that aims to teach kids about sustainable fishing practices. The cards explain that "each Filet-O-Fish sandwich is made with Marine Stewardship Council-certified wild-caught Alaska pollock," and that the company avoids catching other fish in the process. The cards also explain that the entire fish is used to ensure that there is no waste. In short, the cardS illustrate how companies are making an effort to take less from the ocean.

Available for print online, the game offers an easy way for parents to open up conversations about environmental sustainability.
