The Red Sol resort is a beautiful new structure defined by a range of connected clay volumes designed by Ricardo Bofill Taller de Arquitectura. Located in Dhermi, Albania, the resort was created with a look that is inspired by the historic fortified settlements and reflects the 'vertical rhythm of the mountain landscape.'
The studio shared more on the design project with Dezeen, stating "The complex is inspired by the historic model of the 'kasbah', a fortified settlement or city positioned strategically in the landscape, often near the coast, and protected by its complex architectural form. Beyond protection, the intricate layout of interconnected spaces within the kasbah promotes shared use of areas and resources, strengthening relationships among residents."
