Apple's New Red iPhone Battery Case Supports Aids Research

After releasing black and white versions, Apple is back with a red iPhone battery case. In addition to offering the device protection, the smart cases ensure a longer battery life. Not only that, but one's mobile and case can be charged at the same time -- allowing consumers to talk for 25 hours, or use the Internet for 18 hours.

Available for iPhone 6 and 7, the new red iPhone battery case stands out boldly in comparison to its neutral counterparts. The smooth silicone surface also makes it comfortable to hold and the bump on the back that holds the battery gives consumers more to grip onto. As The Verge reports, "Apple will donate a part of proceeds to The Global Fund to fight AIDS -- an effort that the company (and its Beats subsidiary) have already contributed nearly $120 million towards."
