Private First Class Rupert Valero is a soldier stationed in Afghanistan and he is making these impressive action figures from found and recycled materials. A former oil rig engineer, he has been a collector and action figure customizer for many years.

These interesting figures -- made from things like bottle caps and drink cans --  are really impressive and can easily be pictured in an action movie or comic book.

Implications - It's also impressive that in surroundings as harsh and dangerous as Afghanistan, people are still concerned about designing products that require no materials from non-renewable resources. By utilizing found products, Private First Class Rupert Valero makes a statement about the importance of the environment. And he adds cool points to his action-figures.
