Created by artist Ashkan Honarvar, these Reconstructed Cake Faces are both gruesome and delicious.

The art pieces were inspired by the inevitable sufferings that come with violent wars. These faces represent the soldiers from the first world war, who suffered the horror of mutilations to their faces. Check out the featured gallery to see these interesting pieces by Ashkan Honarvar and prepare to be amazed at its gory yet captivating content.

Implications - Whether or not I would present my grandmother or own mother with a similar cake for either one of their birthdays is certainly up for debate. I'm also curious as to how willing someone would be to bite into one of these cakes with its scary, mutilated human face staring up and you and your fork.
