Parkside's Newest Packaging is Durable with a Sealed Barrier

Parkside, a prominent player in the packaging industry, has introduced its innovative Recoflex range, marking a significant advancement in recyclable paper-based flexible packaging materials. The versatility of the packages, such as the heat sealability, durability, and insulating barrier, makes them suitable for a wide array of market applications, from fresh food packaging to ambient food and non-food items. The launch is set to occur in a phased rollout, with the initial phase introducing several new products alongside Parkside’s pioneering freezerproof paper material.

The Recoflex range is poised to meet the challenges posed by evolving consumer preferences and impending legislation, such as the EU’s proposed Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation. Parkside’s product development technologist, Steve Hallford, emphasizes that the Recoflex papers are fully recyclable within kerbside collection schemes, aligning with retailer guidelines and consumer expectations. The second phase of the rollout will introduce additional innovations, including a kraft paper and a metallised solution, further expanding the range’s applicability.
