Industrial design studio Taw Color works together with Sancal on a two-part sofa design project that presents LINK and LOOP. Raw Color is known for its color expertise and connects that by enhancing color, shadow, and volumes of a furniture piece to ensure it is expressive.
The partnership started before the pandemic and originally, the project was named 'party!' Raw Color's Christoph Brach and Daniera ter Haar talk about the design, stating that “From a single gesture a shape evolves that equally unites curved and straight segments. LINK & LOOP are visually connected by the cylinder. The essential geometry that allows the overall volume to be soft and tactile in its appearance. Hard corners cannot be found.” LINK is artful and seemingly unconventional at a first glance, appearing like links connected. LOOP is a seating design that has different sizes and finishes.
