As of October 25th, readers can borrow rare and out-of-print books from one of 50 titles written by Black authors. The borrowing process is entirely free of charge and is running out of Saint Heron Library. Saint Heron is the creative studio of musician Solange Knowles, who sparked the library idea.
The public library will include collector's editions of books. It will also spotlight Black poets, visual artists, designers, and luminaries. Shipping and return postage is also covered by the company, enabling readers to have an expense-free experience. The goal is to spread awareness of the curated Black talents. Participating readers can enjoy the books for research, study, and personal pleasure for up to 45 days.
